The Hospital of the Innocents: 1° Orphanage of the world
The Spedale degli Innocenti is located in Piazza Santissima Annunziata in Florence; it is one of the first Renaissance architecture in the world.. It was built thanks to a 1000 guilders legacy offered by the merchant Francesco Datini in order to create a place for the assistance of abandoned children.
